A father and his three sons got suspended jail sentences and 240-hour community service orders yesterday for their part in a violent disorder in Cork where rocks and bottles were thrown.

Youths armed with slash-hooks and machetes were among a group of 100 people gathered at a housing estate in Cork during a violent feud in the early hours of yesterday morning, as bottles and stones were thrown at gardaí.
