Ousted Kildare senior football manager Kieran McGeeney has issued a statement which he hopes will help to move on the process of appointing his successor.

The Kildare football panel has issued a statement calling for the reinstatement of former manager Kieran McGeeney, accusing the County Board of being "dysfunctional and lacking in both leadership and unity".
