ONE Cork woman’s generosity will help support countless others at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice.

A stolen car was driven at high speed though Cork suburbs in rush-hour traffic, crossing to the wrong side of the road, mounting a footpath where families were walking, and later ramming a Garda car.

It started with a suit fit for a queen. It ended with a donation which has helped to almost double the number of palliative care beds at a leading hospice.
