Roscommon reeled off their third successive win in Division 2 to leave themselves with every chance of returning to the top flight following a routine victory against Westmeath at Dr Hyde Park.

Laois somehow managed to escape from Dr Hyde Park with a draw as late goals from Evan O’Carroll and Kieran Lillis earned Mike Quirke’s side a share of the spoils.

Roscommon, who fielded with only three of the side that won last year’s Connacht final, completely outclassed a poor 14-man Leitrim outfit at Carrick-on-Shannon.
