Cork’s Docklands can become a “world-class” international shipping cluster with thousands of new jobs if ambitious plans to bring the proposed International Shipping Services Centre (ISSC) to Leeside are realised.

IDA Ireland, charged with winning overseas investment for the country, is backing plans to develop a shipping-finance centre in Dublin, bidding to emulate the city’s position as an international aviation leasing hub.
