Global emissions of carbon dioxide are set to rise again this year to reach a new record high, scientists said.

Climate change is already having an impact across the world in areas ranging from human health to agriculture and wildlife, a major international report has found.

MORE than 200 leading climate scientists yesterday called for urgent cuts in greenhouse gases, with reductions of at least 50% by 2050.

More than 50,000 scientists from 63 nations turned their attention to the world’s poles to measure the effects of climate change.
