THE Haitian lawyer for 10 US Baptists charged with child kidnapping tried to bribe the missionaries’ way out of jail and has been fired, the attorney who hired him has said.

Ten US Baptist missionaries charged with child kidnapping returned to jail after failing to persuade a Haitian judge to free them pending the outcome of their case.

TEN Baptist missionaries are facing kidnapping charges in Haiti for trying to take 33 children out of the country, and the lawyer for all the defendants is putting the blame on the group’s leader.
