Figures from the Central Statistics Office reveal that almost 90% of enterprises have reopened as the government have eased virus-related restrictions in the last few weeks.

Almost a quarter of Irish businesses have ceased trading temporarily while almost half had availed of the temporary Covid-19 wage subsidy scheme according to a new business survey from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

With the country on lockdown, the construction and tourism industries have almost come to a standstill while many restaurants are only operating a takeaway service for customers.
