Rolls-Royce gave another boost to shareholders today after lifting underlying half-year profits by 22% and reporting an order book worth £25bn (€36.5bn).

Supermarket giant Tesco today said it had made an “outstanding” start to its financial year after interim profits surged 17% to £628m (€891m).
