Pakistani police today formally accused the top Taliban leader in the country of planning the assassination of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto.

A top Pakistani police official accused an al-Qaida linked militant today of orchestrating the deadly attack on former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, saying police had “solid evidence” of his role in the killing.
