Chat show host Pat Kenny was tonight facing a multi-million euro bill after settling a costly land row with his elderly neighbour.

RTÉ broadcaster Pat Kenny and his wife Kathy claim they maintained part of disputed lands on Gorse Hill in Dalkey as a “nature reserve” for foxes and badgers and have a legal claim over it since 1991, which prevents any development of the lands, the High Court heard.

A DISPUTE over ownership of a strip of land between the home of Pat Kenny and his neighbour erupted into physical confrontation shortly after the broadcaster voiced fears that there might be attempts to develop properties in what he called “our enclave” in Dalkey, Dublin, it was claimed in the High Court yesterday.

TWO horticulturalists are to examine a disputed piece of land adjoining broadcaster Pat Kenny’s home in Dalkey on December 14 next the High Court was told yesterday when a request was made to have the full hearing held in April next.
