Leona Maguire helped bag two points for Britain and Ireland as the opening day of the 39th biennial Curtis Cup match against the United States at Dun Laoghaire ended all square at 3-3.

The USA might dominate the Curtis Cup in the history books but given the venue and the battling qualities of both sides it may all come down to a putting contest.
