SERIOUS overcrowding in Mountjoy Prison, combined with the hot weather, is creating a “powder keg” in the jail, penal reformers have warned.

THERE will be more deaths in Mountjoy unless the drugs problem is tackled, the chaplain at the country’s largest committal facility warned last night.
