An INVESTOR who saw his empire dive by €36 million in the property collapse told a judge yesterday he was unable to pay a cent to a former partner to whom he owed €1.2m.

A three-year-old girl whose left ring fingertip was sliced off in a fold-up pushchair accident a year ago, has been awarded €20,000 damages in the Circuit Civil Court.

An application to halt the trial of Mr George Redmond on a corruption charge due to adverse media publicity has been refused by Judge Joseph Matthews at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
