THE Irish base for US mobile technology accessory firm ZAGG has received a significant boost, following the Nasdaq-listed company’s acquisition of US firm iFrogz for $104 million.

Ireland's low corporate tax rate has been cited as a key reason in the decision of a US multinational company, setting up its base in Shannon, Co Clare.

More than 170 new jobs are to be created by two companies in Shannon in Co Clare.
