The focus of the latest Cork-Kerry clash will undoubtedly be on David Moran and Tommy Walsh, the senior stars who already have U21 All-Ireland medals in their collection.

FOR Shane McCarthy the 2009 football season has already brought its glory. Two weeks ago he belted in a cracking second-half goal that propelled Cork IT to their first ever Sigerson Cup crown. Today he turns his attentions to the Cork U-21’s as they face Kerry in a Munster showdown, with the Sigerson memories still vibrant.

NICHOLAS MURPHY is likely to be fit to play with Cork in Saturday’s Allianz NFL clash with Laois at O’Moore Park, Portlaoise. The All Star damaged a tendon against Fermanagh last week and was replaced by John Hayes.
