They have lived in the shadows of other Kerry football schools in previous seasons, but yesterday was a golden afternoon for Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne as they claimed their first Corn Uí Mhuirí title.

Last year’s defeated finalists Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne deservedly beat a brave Tralee CBS side in a keenly contested Corn Uí Mhuirí semi-final at the Dr Crokes Grounds, Killarney yesterday.

After a late switch of venue from Abbeyfeale to Rathkeale due to the weather, last year’s beaten finalists Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne advanced to an all-Kerry semi-final meeting with Tralee CBS.
