John McAreavey will today seek to reignite the police probe by Mauritian authorities into the murder of his wife, Michaela, after the island’s prime minister yesterday said the case would be prioritised.

The director of public prosecutions (DPP) in Mauritius has suggested another investigation will be launched into the murder of honeymooner Michaela McAreavey.

Lawyers for the Mauritian men acquitted of the murder of Michaela McAreavey are today expected to say they have information which could lead to the arrest of the culprit.
