Former Leinster star Ben Te’o has revealed how he considered declaring for Ireland before opting to pursue an international career with Six Nations rivals England.

Leinster have not yet accepted defeat in their bid to extend Kiwi centre Ben Te’o’s stay at the province beyond next summer, despite considerable reported interest in the 28-year old from clubs in England, France and Australia.

Leinster’s rugby league convert Ben Te’o is undecided as to whether he will remain in union beyond his current deal — and possibly strive to qualify for Ireland — or if he will be lured back by the 13-man code.
