A High Court application seeking to jail professional golfer Kevin Beirth for alleged contempt of court has been resolved after he gave an undertaking not to hold himself out as having any association with the Professional Golfers Association.

A former member of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) told the High Court yesterday he was not passing himself off as a member of the worldwide association or illegally using the PGA’s global trade marks.

The Professional Golfers Association (PGA) is to ask the High Court to restrain a former member from passing himself off as a member of the worldwide association by infringing its international PGA trademark.
