The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal by businessman and anti-eviction activist Jerry Beades against €9.6m judgment orders granted against him concerning loans advanced for a development of 48 apartments in north inner city Dublin.

An application by the Central Bank to halt legal actions brought by businessman Jerry Beades against it, the European Central Bank, several European financial institutions and others, will be heard later this year.

A LENGTHY legal battle between businessman Jerry Beades and ACC Bank has ended at the High Court with orders meaning Mr Beades and his company now face a total liability of €1.5 million out of loans of more than €6m advanced to them by the bank.
