A High Court judge has granted restriction orders under the Companies Act against two brothers over the conduct of the affairs of a company which operated the well known McElhinney’s department store in Co Meath.

A proposed investment could secure 29 jobs at well-known fashion outlet McElhinneys of Athboy, Co Meath, the High Court has been told.

The Bank of Ireland receiver appointed to McElhinneys fashion outlet in Athboy, Co Meath, is to ask the High Court for new orders — including attachment and imprisonment.

A support group for women given contaminated blood products by the State has been wound up with debts in excess of €107,000.
