Burma’s military rulers disbarred a prominent lawyer who applied to defend pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi in her forthcoming trial, the lawyer said today.

BURMA opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi was charged with breaking the terms of her house arrest and faces up to five years in jail after an American intruder sneaked into her lakeside home, her party said.
