A neighbour of a 22-year-old Cork man on trial for the rape and murder of beautician Rachel Kiely has claimed the accused told him the dead woman had been “beaten and raped” on the evening her body was found.

SOHAM murder accused Ian Huntley was in a coma last night after an apparent suicide bid.

A group of friends gave evidence at the Central Criminal Court today that a young man accused of murder and rape was acting "normally" on the night a 22-year-old year woman was found dead in a parkland in Co Cork in 2000.
