Beleaguered Peter Hollingworth, the Queen’s representative in Australia, was under more pressure today, amid reports that he wrote a letter saying an alleged child sex abuse victim initiated a relationship with the alleged abuser.

A meeting next month of British Commonwealth leaders will help build support for the US offensive against terrorism and should go ahead as planned, Australia’s foreign minister Alexander Downer said today.
