A man who took more than a million pounds from his severely-disabled father's bank account to go on a lavish spending spree has been jailed for five years in England.

It may seem like a stretch but there is a direct correlation between the AIB annual general meeting in 2001 and the conviction of fraudsters Achilleas Kallakis and Alexander Williams in the Southwark Crown Court yesterday.

Two fraudsters who conspired to swindle banks of hundreds of millions of pounds have been jailed.
