Made In Japan ended a barren run stretching back to 2004 at Cheltenham – the scene of his Triumph Hurdle victory in the very same year.

Golden Bay landed the feature Yorkshire Bank Mares’ Only Handicap Hurdle race at Cheltenham to give trainer Suzy Smith her first taste of success at Prestbury Park.

Fantastic Champion was Lucy Wadham’s only runner at today’s Fontwell Park meeting and the 15-2 shot made the trip from Newmarket worthwhile in the opening race.
