A Hezbollah militia leader was killed in a car bomb explosion in a southern Beirut suburb, a spokesman for the Islamic militant group said.

LEBANON yesterday protested to the UN Security Council over Israeli violations of its sovereignty and the “aggression and threats” of its southern neighbour, the foreign ministry said.
