It’s been revealed (Amy Goodman, Democracy Now) that a secret CIA “Black Site” prison existed within Guantanamo in which prisoners may have been tortured and subjected to mind altering drugs. 

The remains of three men who committed suicide at the US prison at Guantanamo Bay have been sent home, the Pentagon said.

Mourners packed the home of a Yemeni who died at the American prison in Guantanamo Bay as his family dismissed US claims that he committed suicide and accused prison authorities of murdering him.

US authorities will review the rules for handling and monitoring detainees at Guantanamo Bay following the suicides of three men there, military officials said.

The US Defence Department yesterday identified the three Guantanamo detainees who committed suicide, saying one had ties to al-Qaida, another fought for the Taliban and a third had been cleared for transfer to another country.
