The mother of a French student has been awarded €47,500 after he died as a result of the inhalation of gas from a cooker at his rented home in Co Cork.

I WAS grieved by the reports of the death of one woman, the serious injury of another woman and the injury of a number of other individuals as a result of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in a Co Cork hotel.
