Ireland supports giving Turkish citizens visa-free entry to the EU and €3bn funding in exchange for Turkey preventing refugees and migrants crossing into the EU, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said at a summit of EU leaders.

“Time is running out” was the message delivered to the Greek prime minister as he looked for help from the top players in the EU’s economic union last night.
