AN American teenager has been crowned Miss World, but Ireland’s Emma Waldron did her country proud by coming fourth in the contest and gaining the top European beauty title.

Miss Ireland Emma Britt Waldron has finished in the final five of Miss World in Saturday night’s contest in southern China.
