Legendary Russian swimmer Alexander Popov has announced he is calling time on his illustrious career at the age of 33.

Leading swimming coach Gennadi Touretski, who trains Russia’s multi-Olympic gold medallist Alexander Popov and Australia’s Michael Klim, has been suspended.
