Breeders’ Cup Classic hope Bernardini will face the toughest test of his career at Churchill Downs on Saturday, according to his trainer Tom Albertrani.

IT’S been billed as the “Mane Event”, a Breeders’ Cup Classic showdown between two of American racing’s superstars, but at Churchill Downs yesterday there was only one show in town.

Bernardini is now the 11-8 favourite for the Breeders’ Cup Classic following his impressive success in the Grade One Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont.
