Ryanair has apologised to grieving Dublin surgeon Dr Muhammad Taufiq Al Sattar after he was charged €188 to change his booking to get on the earliest flight to Birmingham on the morning of the fire that killed his family.

A grieving father whose wife and three children were killed in a suspected arson attack on their home had planned to be with his family on the night of the blaze.

The four family members of a Dublin surgeon killed in a recent house fire had no connections to a street attack in which a man was murdered, police have confirmed today.
