MOURNERS called for revenge as some 2,000 people in the Libyan capital greeted a funeral procession carrying Muammar Gaddafi’s son, who was killed in a NATO airstrike.

Muammar Gaddafi’s forces have brought their tanks back to the western gates of Misrata and shelled the besieged town throughout the night and into this morning.

Holding out under a rain of shelling and sniper fire, rebels in Misrata, their last major foothold in western Libya, fought Muammar Gaddafi’s forces in close-quarter battles in the city centre.
