Two separate parked car bombs detonated today in Baghdad’s Sadr City and in western Baghdad to kill at least 10 people and wound 51, police said.

Violence killed at least 34 people in Iraq, including a US soldier, as efforts to finish choosing the new cabinet bogged down yesterday in a web of conflicting interests.

Two Iraqi journalists were found dead south of Baghdad today a day after they were stopped by men wearing police uniforms, the manager of their television station said.

The bodies of 31 men were found dumped at eight sites in Iraq, most of them in predominantly Shiite parts of Baghdad, police said today.
