A mother of two who cut the shoulder blade of a pregnant woman with a broken bottle over some “imagined grievance” has been given a two year suspended sentence.

The Irish Farmers Association is warning people to exercise extreme caution when dealing with bulls following the death yesterday of 65-year-old Carlow farmer Pat Byrne, who was savagely killed by a bull.
