A 23-year-old man “considered to be a significant threat to women” has had his sentence for the sexual exploitation of a 12-year-old over the internet, cut on appeal.

Two men who were in their teens when they sexually assaulted one woman and assaulted another have had the suspended portions of their jail sentences increased by the Court of Appeal.

Two teenagers who followed two young women separately through the streets of Cork City, hitting one with a bottle and subjecting the other to a violent sexual assault, have been jailed for nine and eight years.
