Aidan O’Brien, whose horses have been struggling somewhat of late, received a timely Royal Ascot boost when Venus De Milo landed the Group 3 Munster Oaks Stakes at Cork yesterday.

Meekong River earned a crack at the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud in Saint-Cloud next Saturday when landing the listed Eyrefield Stakes at Leopardstown yesterday.

Aidan and Joseph O’Brien shared an early double with two-year-old fillies Dance With Another and Sparrow at the Curragh yesterday, a brace which brought the champion jockey’s tally to 121 domestic wins.
