Dublin boss Tom Gray has played down the value of last year’s EirGrid Leinster final drubbing of Laois ahead of this evening’s rematch.

Laois are through to the semi-finals of the EirGrid Leinster U-20 championship this Saturday after a dramatic penalty shootout win over Westmeath last night.

For the second successive week, UCD required extra-time before eventually prevailing past Ulster opposition, edging St Mary’s Belfast by four points in their Sigerson Cup quarter-final at Billings Park on Sunday.

Goals from Michael Doran and Dan McCormack ultimately separated Laois from Westmeath in a gripping tie in Mullingar last night.
