A cabinet Minister has warned that major pay increases could be "repeating the mistakes of the past".

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is to review its cooperation with the Lanesdowne Road Agreement and seek an immediate restoration of its members' pre-recession levels of pay writes Joe Leogue.

The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors (ASGI) has said that it wants to see members' pay restored to 2008 levels.
