Tánaiste Joan Burton is standing over a Labour minister’s decision to appoint a special adviser who left Limerick’s City of Culture project amidst controversy.

A replacement to head up the Limerick City of Culture year-long project has finally been advertised, over two months after the resignation of former CEO Patricia Ryan.
