A series of protests are taking place across Ireland today in support of striking ambulance workers.

A paramedic has told the jury in a Wicklow murder trial that the accused told him she drove her car into the sea at South Quay in Arklow.

A domestic Irish cyclist had a quick-thinking emergency paramedic to thank for potentially saving his life following a crash over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend in Wexford.

A Garda and a paramedic have been hospitalised after a collision in Dublin this afternoon.

"I had this feeling about him."

The pair were reunited at a charity event on Sunday.
