A website that posted digital copies of Beatles music a year before they became legitimately available has agreed to pay record companies nearly $1m to settle a lawsuit.

Robbie Williams is set to sign the biggest record deal in British music history, it was reported today.

EMI has confirmed it's paying £19.6m (€31.5m) to end Mariah Carey's recording contract.
