Island Oil & Gas plc today announced that it had spudded gas appraisal well 57/2-3 on Exploration Licence 5/05 (the Schull Field) in the Celtic Sea, offshore Ireland.

EnCore Oil plc has announced that the Old Head of Kinsale gas appraisal well operated by Island Oil & Gas plc (“Island”) on block 49/23 located in the Celtic Sea, offshore Ireland, has reached total depth, and wireline logging and pressure testing have been completed.

Island will assign Valhalla Oil and Gas Limited a 20% interest in the Old Head of Kinsale gas field, reducing Island’s interest to 80%, it was announced today.
