The US military says it has conducted a successful test of its ballistic missile defence system.

US missile defence experts today visited a Russian-operated radar station in Azerbaijan that Moscow is offering to share to counter potential missile threats from nations including Iran, but a top US general suggested its technology was outdated.

The United States is “crossing the rubicon into space weaponisation” with a little-known missile programme, a senior government official said today.
