PUBLIC patients will be able to use modern cancer-fighting machinery in a private hospital in Waterford early in the new year, the Health Service Executive (HSE) said yesterday.

PLANS to provide radiotherapy to private patients at a new hospital to open soon in Waterford have edged a step closer. And it emerged the hospital plans delivery of a second linear accelerator, the machine which provides radiotherapy, before Christmas.
