Five-year-old Ashya King is set to start a proton therapy treatment plan in the Czech Republic to help him beat brain cancer.

Ashya King will make his first visit today to the Czech clinic where he is expected to receive the treatment that prompted the legal wrangle over his care.

The parents of a sick five-year-old boy who hit the headlines after taking the youngster from a hospital without doctors’ permission, have been given the go-ahead to take their son to the Czech Republic for proton beam treatment.
