Zookeepers at Fota Wildlife Park have had their hands full with the arrival of tigers, reptiles, butterflies, frogs and record visitor numbers this year.

Today more than 4,000 of us will pass through Fota Wildlife Park’s gates. Yet we know very little of what goes on behind the scenes.

Forget the sweet scent of roses – Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens were suffused with an unusual stench today, as the gardens’ foul-smelling tongue orchid flowered for the second time in 30 years.
